I’m gearing up to releasing The Original’s Rage soon, so thought it was about time I dusted off this website!
Where have I been? Work has basically kicked my arse for the last year or so, and my writing took a massive hit. I was exhausted, burnt out and had no spare capacity, so I did some self care and didn’t give myself a hard time over writing, or lack of.
Enough self pity!

Reading
My current read is That Which Stands Outside by Mark Morris.
A man, Todd, saves a woman, Yrsa, from a mugging and ends up travelling back to her home island where things start to go badly wrong…
Mark Morris is an excellent writer, and this is not disappointing so far!
Watching
The Blacklist. Where do I start with this? My wife and I are on season 1 (of 10!! Holy crap, how do they keep this going for that long??) and have a bit of a love/hate thing going on with it. James Spader is having a lot of fun, but the other leads are not great. Intrigued enough to keep watching, but also enjoying making fun of it a bit. The mystery with her husband is what’s keeping us going….
Listening
We recently reset up our turntable and dug out our old vinyl. Without being a nobhead about it, it sounded loads better than streaming though our Echo Dot. I bought In Absentia by the mighty Porcupine Tree and it sounds brilliant on vinyl – so much deeper and you really focus on it more.
Ok, maybe I am a nobhead….
