Pre-order The Original’s Rage Today!

Yesterday I did it – I pulled the plug and set a release date for The Original’s Rage. Book 3 of the Original’s series is ready to go! Drum roll please…

15th November 2024

Setting a release date is something that never gets old – simultaneously exciting and utterly terrifying. What if this is the book that ends my career? (what career!) What if this is the one that allows me to retire early (hah!) What if everyone hates it? (even my mum?) What if everyone loves it? (even your mum?)

I don’t think I’m alone in those sorts of thoughts flying around my head. I think overthinking and low level anxiety about your work is part of the territory for a writer. The simple truth is I have written what I believe to be a good book, it has been edited and re-edited and so now it is time to let it fly. As soon as that release day hits, the book is no longer mine – it is for readers.

Readers can make their own mind up about the book, some will love it, some hate it, some will think it ‘meh’. And that’s okay. Negative reviews can hurt on a personal level, but reviews are not for me either – they are for other readers. A well written negative review can lead to as many sales as a 5* one.

I think I’m rambling a little here, but my point is that as of 15th November, The Original’s Rage will be out and I can focus on the next book (The Memory Shades).

I hope you’ll all love it!

Anyway, the blurb:

For ten years, Captain Peter Knowles has been at the front line of Britain’s defence against the wolf threat. Attacks have been on the decline and wolf sightings have decreased.

However, a botched mission in London reveals a new threat. This wolf pack has information Knowles has tried to keep secret.

They know Jack Stadler is alive.

And they know where to find him…

Praise for David Watkins:

“…pitch-perfect action sequences combine with the wild Celtic magic to create a genuinely thrilling experience” – Jim Mcleod, Gingernuts of Horror

“…a wonderful mix of old school horror story and psychological mind games.” – GBHBL.COM
